When I received my Metal Tablet Desk Stand from AnthroDesk to review, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I was surprised at how well constructed and sturdy the stand truly was. It arrived in excellent condition and there is some assembly required. Just 4 screws (to attach the top portion to the stand) and some spongy tabs to insert into the brackets. Within minutes I had my Tablet Stand assembled.
What I love about this stand is that I can now cook without fear of ruining my tablet. I love finding and trying new recipes. I have tried leaning my tablet up against the wall, the toaster and even the microwave and it always seems to fall down on me. My biggest fear is having my tablet laying on the counter and I accidentally spill liquid on it or any other foreign substance that would be the demise of my beloved device.
As you can see from the photo above, my tablet is not made for this stand. The stand is made for and fits all iPad tablets except iPad Mini and most medium to large tablets (from 7- 8″ wide and 9-10.25″ tall). With my tablet being 8″ tall and 5″ wide, I thought it would fit like a glove. Nevertheless, it does stay in place and that is all I need. I can now use my tablet to search up some new, interesting and tasty recipes to try and not worry about damaging it.
Even though my tablet would not fit exactly perfect in the vertical position, it did fit nicely in the horizontal position and with a quick adjustment of the bracket, my tablet was held in nice and snug.
I also love to have my tablet by my side when I am relaxing on the couch, or in this case a tad under the weather. I have arthritis in my neck and the constant looking down at the tablet begins to irritate after a short time. When I use the tablet stand, my neck is more erect and the pain and stiffness in my neck lessens.
I have been either placing the tablet stand on my lap or placing it on my coffee table next to me. Either way, the position of the tablet and the added height due to the stand, my tablet is much more comfortable to use.
