Jim Hensen’s Fraggle Rock – They’re Back & They Rock!

Jim Hensen’s Fraggle Rock

Introducing Fraggle Rock to a New Generation

Fraggle Rock is back! The influential crew of muppet-like characters from the brilliant Jim Henson stormed into households across the globe in the mid-Eighties as the first original program on HBO. A generation of boys and girls were mesmerized by the characters, stories and original songs! Advocating themes of friendship, tolerance, diversity and caring for the planet, Fraggle Rock never fails to entertain and excite audiences, while teaching children about the complexities of human life.

Super Impulse and The Jim Henson Company have partnered to bring your favourite characters from Fraggle Rock to life.

I’m VERY excited to introduce you to a new world of Fraggle Rock, with plush characters you can bring home! While I take a minute to get my “fan-girl” excitement to calm down a bit, let us take a minute to enjoy the Fraggle Rock Opening Theme!

As a 40-something, I grew up with Fraggle Rock so these new toys are SUPER exciting for me! Fraggle Rock is one of my favourite childhood shows, and I remember waiting ALL week for it air on CBC (you know, back in the days of limited children’s programming that aired only on certain days and certain times).  As an adult, I still enjoy watching the episodes (and singing along to the familiar songs). I own season 1 on DVD (and need to complete my collection as soon as I have the extra money to do so). Certain shows just take me back in time, and Fraggle Rock is one of them.

Fraggle Rock is a fun show for young and old, and a show I have loved introducing my own children to. With 96 episodes, and 100 original songs, it aired around the world and is still relevant today, and timeless in quality.

Red

I love the details on both the Gobo and Red 10″ Plush Characters. From the crazy, colourful hair to the clothing, everything is exactly right. Red has pink bows in her hair, and Gobo even has a notebook in his vest pocket! The tails are pose-able, allowing both Gobo and Red to sit freely without needing to be propped up or leaned up against the back of a shelf or wall. The crazy hair is soft, and even glimmers in the light.

  1. I loved Fraggle Rock as a kid. When I found out I was expecting my first baby, I scoured the used book stores and thrift stores and found a set of Fraggle Rock books. I can’t wait u til she is old enough for me to read them to her. And now I’ll have to grab her a plush Red toy. So cute!
