Now that you are all set up, you can now begin to plot your way to vegetable growing greatness!!
For my garden, I chose a plot size 20ft(L) x 30ft(W). I chose this size as it was most beneficial for me to showcase on the screen with the whole garden in view.
Once I completed sizing my garden, I began to select what I was going to plant. I love watermelon, cucmbers and well pretty much everything veggie. Selecting what items to plant next to each other was easy. Each plant is assigned a colour. Plants that have the same colour that highlights the exclamation mark showcased beside each plant are the ones that you can safely plant next to each other. You will notice that I have selected Watermelon. Information regarding each plant is at your fingertips. Simply by clicking on the plant and exclamation mark will give you all the details about that particular plant species. An encyclopedia of knowledge with the click of a mouse. No need to google for information when you are using the GrowVeg Vegetable Garden Planner app!!!
With such a variety of plants to choose from (actually over 200 vegetables) it took me a while but i finally decided on what species I wanted in my garden. The best part is, you just click the mouse on the veggie, place the pointer in the area of your garden and drag. The app automatically adjusts for spacing and how many plants can fit into that area. Okay, so I may change things up a bit. You can edit your planner at any time and save your progress along the way.
Your GrowVeg Vegetable has the capacity to look like this!!! Isn’t that amazing! You can add compost piles, walkways and even have separate smaller garden patches. You have the ability to select traditional row planting, raised beds or Square Foot Gardening.
The possibilities are endless!! Now I won’t kid you, it took me a little bit to get used to what icon does what. I forgot a few times as well but that was okay as the GrowVeg Vegetable Garden Planner has an instructional video that you can refer to at any time to refresh your memory.
The piez de resistance: The Garden Planner adapts to your own area’s weather patterns by using their own database of over 5000 weather stations. You can print your own personalized planting chart showing how many of each plant you require and when to sow, plant and harvest them.
