myfunvelope: Fun & Crafts to Keep the Boredom Away

myfunvelope

I am always trying to find things that will keep my kids occupied and OFF of their tablets. We have a wide selection of toys and games, and I try to make sure their craft shelves are full of paper and crayons. The boys love to do crafts, but I am not very “crafty” so I try to find reasonably priced craft kits that they can do either on their own or with minimal help.

Recently, I was contacted by an up and coming company called myfunvelope. Although not accepting subscriptions just yet, they are an awesome Canadian subscription box service. Each month, they will have an envelope filled with all sorts of projects, and the cost will be only $18 per month! This is a fantastic deal, as the envelopes are truly jammed pack with fun!
myfunvelope
myfunvelope sent me two of their “Superhero” themed envelopes for Hayden and Kristopher to test out. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but I was completely WOWED when the envelopes came in the mail. There is enough to keep the kids busy for a couple of hours!

In each envelope there was:
  • Superhero Photo Frame craft

  • Finger Puppet to colour

  • Superhero Cuff craft

  • STEM Superhero popsicle stick puppet craft with glue dots and scissors

  • Make Your Own Mask craft (set of 2 masks)

  • Learn to Draw a Superhero step-by-step instructions

  • Superhero Cape and Mask

  • Markers and magnet (for the photo frame)

  • Pamphlet guide with instructions

What I liked:

  • There were 6 fun and easy craft projects included in each envelope that the kids can do on their own or with minimal help
  • Everything was ‘themed’ (in this case, Superhero)
  • No extra supplies needed from home in order to do the crafts
  • Instructions included!
  • The cape and the mask for dress-up fun were a HUGE hit with the boys
  • Although each kit was the same, each kit was also different (different finger puppet, different colours)

The boys were really thrilled with the myfunvelope craft kits. There was enough to keep them busy for almost 2 1/2 hours, and even my 9 year old joined the fun helping out Hayden, drawing the superhero, and colouring in the finger puppets.
