Rugrats: Nickelodeon’s iconic babies arrive on DVD in these special full-season collections! A baby’s gotta do what a baby’s gotta do in the all-new DVD releases of Rugrats: Seasons 1 & 2. Told from the perspective of a group of adventurous and imaginative toddlers, Rugrats transformed the most mundane activities into unforgettable adventures. Led by fearless leader Tommy Pickles, the gang can turn an ordinary trip to the park into a journey across the Sahara in search of water, a visit to the plant nursery into a jungle trek to find a cure for “jungle beaver,” or a search for cookies into a prehistoric fantasy. Together, there’s no adventure too big and no problem they can’t solve…or at least nothing that a good nap won’t help.

Rugrats premiered on Nickelodeon in 1991 and included 9 seasons over a 13 year period with a total of 172 episodes! In Canada, Rugrats can still be seen in reruns on Nick Canada weekday mornings (10 AM and 10:25 AM MT). In the US, episodes currently air on Nickelodeon’s daily ’90s programming block, “The Splat,” from 10pm-6am (ET/PT) on TeenNick.

I remember Rugrats from WAY BACK THEN. You know: when I was a teenager, before I had kids, when I was still in high school! I remember watching the adventures of Tommy and Chuckie and the rest of the toddlers when the episodes were brand new. Because I loved Rugrats so much, it was one of the shows I would always sit and watch with my oldest two boys in the 90s and into the early 2000s. I’m sure I’ve seen every episode ten times over, but it has been years since I’ve sat down to watch it. Its awesome to be able to share Rugrats with my youngest 3 sons, and the new DVD releases have been a great way to introduce them to a cartoon I’ve loved for over two decades. In my opinion, Rugrats is one of the best cartoons ever released, and I never get sick of watching it.

Rugrats Seasons 1 & 2 are currently available for purchase from Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Media Distribution. Season 1 contains 25 episodes on two discs and Season 2 contains 51 episodes -over 10 hours- on four discs. At the price of $14.99 and $19.99 respectively, Rugrats: Seasons 1 & 2 will be a welcome addition to any family looking for a little throwback fun and adventure.
