I was lucky enough to be offered a January Teacher’s Crate to review! Inside were 7 goodies, some for the classroom and students, and some for the teacher. I really liked that there was a distinct Valentine’s Day theme in the January box as the kids will be making Valentine’s Cards and Crafts the beginning of February.
For the Students and Classroom:
Hearts Bolder Borders, 35 feet
Creativity Street WonderFoam Hearts, 264 pcs
Crayola Doodle Scents, 18 scented markers
Mavalus Poster Tape
For the Teacher:
Hot Sox Women’s Originals Pindot Hearts Trouser Socks
The Blissful Teacher, LLC Lavender Eye Teach (night cream)
What I thought:
My favourite part of The Teacher’s Crate was the portion set aside for the students and classroom, and I really loved the selection of items. Outside each classroom, and lining most of the hallways of the boy’s school, are bulletin boards where student’s work is showcased. The teachers use boarders to personalize the boards and the Hearts themed border will be perfect to decorate for Valentine’s Day. The foam hearts will be perfect for Valentine’s Day Cards and other crafts, and I know the kids will have a lot of fun using them. The scented markers will be a classroom favourite. I know from experience that the kids all gravitate towards the scented markers above the regular ones, so these will be a much appreciated addition to the classroom. The Poster Tape will come in handy for inside the classroom for hanging all of the wonderful things that need to be hung up, from the Alphabet, to sight words, to art and craft projects.
My favourite item for the Teacher are the cute heart socks. I think they are really festive for Valentine’s Day, and you can never have too many socks. The T-shirt is a really nice quality, is made of a really soft material, and I love the Teach Coffee design on the front. I wasn’t able to pick the size of the t-shirt, but I’m sure one of the teachers at the boy’s school will be able to use it! The quality of the shirt is great, the cotton is really soft, and I think the design would be durable and hold up really well in the wash, and I’m sure one of the other teacher’s at the school will absolutely love it.
I was not sure exactly what the Eye Teach was other than some kind of a lotion so I searched google to see if I could figure it out. I was not able to find this exact product online, but I did find the store it came from on Etsy (The Blissful Teacher, LLP). I am extremely allergic to lavender so I did appreciate that the night cream was clearly labelled as containing lavender. I did not open this, so I am not sure what the texture or scent is like, but its a really nice extravagant addition to an already awesome box.
Overall, I think this is a really fun subscription service, perfect for elementary school teachers, day-cares, day-homes and home-schooling parents. I love that there are items for both the kids and the teacher, and everything is not only fun but useful and absolutely appropriate.
