It’s a Way of Life: Walt Life Subscription Boxes
When I am looking online to try find content to write about for the blog, I am drawn to my favourite things. Subscription boxes, toys and games for the kids, and Disney are just a few of the things that I love. When I came across a subscription box called Walt Life I was definitely intrigued. This was one subscription box that I wanted to check out for myself!
Walt Life delivers monthly mystery boxes to Disney fans, both young and old. Their Disney subscription boxes can include Disney pins, officially licensed Disney items, or Disney Parks items, and are delivered to your door every month.
And of course, Walt Life promises that your experience will be Magical! And with Disney, I wouldn’t expect anything less!
Walt Life offers 5 different subscription boxes: Magic Plus, Magic, Classic, Pin Collector and Pin Edition. What you will receive depends on the box that you choose.
When ordering you can choose from Prince, Princess or Gender Neutral.
Next you pick the age category you would like to order.
Shipping for the Magic and Magic Plus boxes within the US is FREE (however shipping to Canada is $22 per box).
February 2nd I received a surprise in the mail that I was NOT expecting. My very own Walt Life January box to review. My eyes lit up, and I was SO excited and hurried home to check it out.
I really love the shoe box sized box it came in. Its not very sturdy, but I’ll be able to re-use it and its decorated to look like a treasure chest. Its so much fun!
Upon opening I was greeted with some crinkly black packing material, a note (with a handwritten touch at the bottom), and my treasure.
I am guessing this is a Princess box, and the theme is Frozen.
According to the letter, there should be 6 treasures in my Frozen Walt Life Box:
Lip Balm Set
Mason Jar Mug
Official Autograph Book (Disney Park Merchandise)
Hand Sanitizer – Bubble Gum scented
If you notice, there is no picture of a Lip Balm Set, and that is because I didn’t receive one. I did receive the rest of the items though. I am not sure which box I received, but I ended up with 5 items including a Disney Parks item (which was the Autograph Book), so this leads me to think that this is the “Magic Plus” Walt Life Box.
This is a really fun little box, but unfortunately there are no Frozen fans in my house. As a Boy-Mom, we don’t do “Princess.” I have a couple of the classic Princess movies (Snow White, Sleeping Beauty) but that is because they are childhood favourites of mine. I didn’t enjoy Frozen, and neither did the boys, so this box was a little bit disappointing. As a lip balm addict, I was also disappointed that my box was missing the lip balm set.
That said, I quickly got over my disappointment and we will definitely get use out of all the items.
The socks are a perfect fit for me – YAY! You can NEVER have too many socks! AND pink and red do happen to be my favourite colours, even if Frozen isn’t my favourite Disney movie.
The Mason Jar will be perfect as a decorative item on my shelf. I might use it to store extra change or pens and pencils, or I might use the suggestion they give in the letter. They suggest using the mason jar as a miniature flower pot for an indoor plant. That might be a fun project for the kids: growing a house plant! Of course, I could just use it as drinking glass as well. I can guarantee that no one in this house would use it because its covered with princesses and snowmen, so it would be one piece of drink-ware that is truly mine.
The kitchen towel will be a nice little addition for the half-bath on our main level, and the hand sanitizer DOES actually smell like bubble gum! It doesn’t smell like sanitizer at all, but reminds me of pink bubble gum. It smells almost good enough to eat. I like that I received the Olaf clip-on hand sanitizer because blue is Hayden’s favourite colour, and he can clip it to his backpack for school. The autograph book is a really nice touch and although I won’t use it for autographs, I love notebooks (another one of my little addictions) and will add this one to my desk for writing important things in.
If I had been given a choice, I would have picked the Prince box for All Ages, but over all I really enjoyed my experience with my Walt Life Box. This is a fun little Disney Treasure that is perfect for anyone who loves Disney and is not able to get to a Disney Store or one of the theme parks in person.
If you would like to check out Walt Life, you can visit them online or check them out social media!
