Today was one of those days. You know, one of those days. A day when it feels like everything is going wrong. A day when you feel like the whole world is against you. A day when its hard to see what you do have, but so easy to see what you don’t. One of those days. The worst day ever. I was angry, and disappointed, and upset, and sad, and irritated, and just in an all-over-horrible mood.
So I stepped away a little bit. Away from the computer, away from Facebook, and away from my email. I had a long (and uninterrupted) hot bath while the kids were at school, I listened to some music, and I just took a moment. It was a two hour moment, but it was a moment. A moment to regroup, a moment to calm down, and a moment to be grateful for everything I have.
On days like today, there is a poem I like to read that helps me to put things in perspective.
Worst Day Ever?
