BarBrat-IceBallMakerAn interesting twist to making ice cubes. The Bar Brat Ice Ball Makercreates a conversation piece, namely spherical ice balls. This unique product is so easy to use! Take a look a the fun I had creating some awesome and tasty treats.

BarBrat-IceBallMaker-DrinkThe Bar Brat Ice Ball Maker is made of food grade, durableBPA Free silicone material that creates 4 unique 4.5cm spherical ice balls. I love the pliability of the product. No more trying to crack cubes from hard trays that eventually end up cracking and breaking themselves. My arthritis loves the product too.

The ice balls are slow melting as opposed to conventional ice cubes and are perfect for cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, iced tea and more. It freezes pretty much anything!! Add your childs favourite juice, place a small and thin Popsicle stick through the hole to create juice-sicles!!You can get really fancy and create chocolate balls and even soap balls!! Home-made candles and much much more!!! The possibilities are endless.

When my Bar Brat Ice Ball Maker arrived, I couldn’t wait to use it! I went on a freezing frenzy!! Starting with water, just to give it a try, I then moved to various juices. I even made coconut pineapple juice ice balls with pineapple chunks added.

My hubby always has juice, especially in the mornings, however, he likes it really cold. Hot summer days warm it too fast and he ends up wasting half the glass. The Bar Brat Ice Ball Maker came to the rescue. I made ice balls from some of his juice. In the morning he had his glass of juice with an ice ball created from the very juice he was drinking. The ice ball, as it melted, didn’t water down his juice. He loved that.

I didn’t stop there. Nooooooo! An idea had come into my head (yeah, the proverbial light bulb turned on)

First, I placed some of the dogs food into a small bowl. I then added some hot water and let it sit for about 20 minutes. I did this so the water would then turn into a natural gravy made from their own food.

Once the food was moist, but not smushy, I then added some of the food to the bottom half of the Bar Brat Ice Ball Maker, thus filling half of the sphere.

I then placed the top half of the Bar Brat Ice Ball Maker on the bottom half. To add the gravy made by the food, I used a turkey baster and began to inject the liquid into the mold. You will know when enough liquid is placed inside as it will begin to overflow out of the hole. Add the gravy to each section of the mold. Place the mold into the freezer for 4-6 hours.

I was so happy to see my experiment making my frozen dog treats turn out so well. After about 5 hours, I removed the mold from the freezer, removed the top portion of the mold and voila!!! Summertime treats for my four legged furry canine family members.

I just had to give Tracker one of the frozen treats right away. She loved it
