The Original Plasmart DoodleArt

One of the things my boys love to do is colour and draw. While my younger two before to ‘free-style’ draw, my 10 year old loves to colour in adult colouring books, and so I knew that The Original DoodleArt posters would be the perfect gift for him.

EXPO and Sharpie

EXPO Dry Erase Markers and all things Sharpie have been a staple in our home for many years. Some are used for fun while others have more of a function to perform. If you have someone on your list who is an organizational guru or loves to draw and color – like me, think Expo and Sharpie! Personally, I love seeing Sharpie’s and Expo markers in my stocking. August. Although we still have half of summer left, it also means that half of summer is behind us and the Back to School rush is only a few weeks away. For me, Back to School is pretty much the BEST time of the year (second only to Christmas), but the boys don’t tend to be nearly as excited for September as I am. To help make the transition from summer to school a little less … traumatic … for the boys, I like to add in some fun school supplies to go along with their regular HB pencils, workbooks, and pencil crayons.

Is Purchasing a fixer-upper really worth it?

Home Renovations-My New Home DIY Project

I purchased my first home. Yayyyyyyy! While the butterflies have yet to settle within my stomach from the excitement, the reality is beginning to set in. My new home is in need of some major TLC. It’s going to be a lot of work and take quite some time to complete all the needed repairs, updating and upgrading. I cannot afford to hire people to do all the work so I will be tackling each repair myself.

Homemade Finger Paint – A Father’s Day Craft

Homemade Finger Paint

finger paint

We have had a couple large paint canvases sitting in the basement for a couple years, and the boys found them the other day and decided they wanted to paint their Dad a Father’s Day gift.  We didn’t have any paint, so I quickly whipped up some Homemade Finger Paint and sat back and watched their creative juices flow.
