Highlights from our BC Road Trip

& Family Vacation

BC

The first couple weeks of August saw us go on our first family vacation (and first road trip) in over 9 years. We drove out to Vancouver Island, and enjoyed our drive through the Rocky Mountains despite the smoke from the BC Wildfires.  Despite some issues with my youngest two boys, and their conflicting personalities, we had a great time visiting some of the beautiful places in BC that we’ve never been to before (and a couple that we have).

The last time we went on a road trip to Victoria was in 2008. There were five of us for that trip: Chris, myself, and my sons Travis, Taylor, and Thomas (who was just 11 months old). I was very pregnant with my fourth son at the time, so although the trip was fun I was so uncomfortable. By early 2010 we had five boys, and road trips were set aside.

Citizen Bar RestaurantJuly 11th, 2016 (Toronto, ON) – The Citizen Restaurant + Bar will unveil its revamped menu by new co-chefs, former Chopped Canada contestant, Jonathan O’Callaghan and Binh An Nguyen, on Tuesday, July 19th, 2016.

My Day in Hamilton at #MonsterJam 2016

MonsterJam-LogoI have been to Monster Jam many times. Most of my visits were when my son was much younger at the tender ages of between 6 and 9. We sat looking at all the Monster Trucks waiting in anticipation for the action to begin. The sights, the sounds and lights were almost mesmerizing to my son. I still recall the huge smile on his face as we entered the arena. At that time, he had a huge fascination with all things BIG. His favourite TV show was Mighty Machines.
