Dinner Meal Plans for August 28 – September 03
This week will be a busy week. My oldest son turns 22, and my youngest 3 start school, so our meals will reflect that. This is also week 2 of the grocery period, so meals will be more pantry based (week 1 meals are more fresh produce based).
Sunday Dinner Meal Plans- BIRTHDAY DINNER by request: Roast Beef, potatoes, carrots, green beans, Yorkshire Pudding AND Birthday cake! The “birthday boy” doesn’t actually like birthday cake (but the little ones do) so I will also be making strawberry shortcake.
Monday Dinner Meal Plans- Spaghetti Night (For the sauce, I combine a jar of basic Spaghetti sauce, 4 Italian sausages cut into bite sized pieces and half a bag of frozen Asian Vegetables). *BUDGET MEAL* Total cost for Spaghetti night is under $10.
Tuesday – Rustic Chicken with Garlic Gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable to be determined (I always have a good selection of frozen vegetables in the deep freeze) *BUDGET MEAL* Total cost is under $15, and there will be leftovers.
Wednesday – Steak with Creamy Garlic Noodles (I cheat and use packaged Knorr pasta sauce) and vegetables
Thursday – Roast Chicken & Gravy, fried rice, stuffing, vegetables *BUDGET MEAL* Total cost is around $15, there will be leftovers, AND I will use the carcass to make chicken broth, which I will freeze to use in upcoming recipes.
Friday – LEFTOVERS (and if there are not enough leftovers we will have eggs)
Saturday – Pizza (the frozen variety) & Crispy Salt & Pepper Wings
