Helping You to Create the Right Cake Every Time

Happy Birthday Hayden

My “baby” tends to have odd requests when it comes to his birthday cake. When he was turning 3, he wanted a cake that was “black and blue with cats all over.” I am not a baker, and I am definitely NOT a cake decorator so I was left scrambling trying to figure out HOW the heck I was going to be able to pull that off.  I’m very thankful that I discovered a Canadian business called Go Frost Yourself Edible Images.

When searching for a company who could provide cake and cupcake toppers I had two very simple criteria. I wanted the business to be small and family run, and I wanted it to be Canadian, and Go Frost Yourself Edible Images met both of those.

Just take a look at Go Frost Yourself Edible Images Customer Creations Photo Album here to see the quality of their designs and product! They can take any picture you submit and turn it into cake magic!

Back in the beginning of 2013 I contacted Go Frost Yourself Edible Images and they helped me by creating some assorted cat cupcake toppers that I used to decorate Hayden’s birthday cake. I fully admit that I am NOT a cake decorator, and even with the help of these awesome toppers my cake was still a mess BUT Hayden was thrilled with his cake.

Fast forward to last year when Hayden was turning 6. In the months leading up to his birthday, Hayden began planning out his birthday cake. He started drawing pictures of cakes to give me an idea of what he wanted. He wanted Batman, and blue icing.

I loved this picture he drew so much that I sent it to Go Frost Yourself Edible Images and they turned it into a cake topper making for a one of a kind birthday cake just for Hayden. I love how it turned out, and he was so excited to see his creation come to life with his birthday cake.

This brings us to today. Hayden just turned 7. Last month he began planning out his cake and cupcakes once again and both him and my 9 year old drew pictures based on what Hayden was planning. Ever since we saw the Lego Batman Movie, all Hayden can talk about is “Robin with the big green eyes.” Robin has been his favourite since last summer, and he even dressed up as Robin for Halloween last year.

After describing what I was looking for, and sending off a couple examples, Go Frost Yourself Edible Images went to work getting a cake topper ready for us. We decided to use the drawings the kids made for the cupcake toppers for Hayden’s class at school, and a photo from The Batman Lego Movie for his cake.

Once again I’m wowed. They did an amazing job, and I have a very happy 7 year old boy!

  8. Karen Evans

Oh my gosh! They finally have these for us regular mom’s! My girls (when they were younger) always wanted a “fancy” cake (youngest wanted a cat on her cake) and I took the long way around, by actually making a cat cake. I like the whole concept of the “go-frost-yourself-edible-images” so much easier and fun. Thank you.
