- Garden Vanilla Mini Cream Waffers
- Nissin Cup Noodles – Spicy Seafood Flavour
- Nissin Cup Noodles – Tonkotsu Flavour
- Calbee Prawn Crackers – 4 individual serving bags
- Luk Yu Chinese Teabags – Jasmine (25 pack)
- Frutips Blackcurrent Pastilles Candy (nestle)
- Tempo Petit Icy Menthol Handkerchiefs (2 packages)
In the past, I have had some good experiences with candy/food boxes, and some bad experiences with candy/food boxes. One of my biggest concerns is with the best before date time-frame. Hong Kong Crate is amazing in this aspect. Each item I received has a best before date no earlier than spring of 2018 (with many items dated for 2019).
I loved the variety of items we received, and there was something for everyone in my family.
The items we loved most were: The Chocolate Fingers, the Blackcurrant Frutips, The Jasmine Tea (one of my favourites) and the Mini Cream Waffers. It has been SO hot all summer that no one wants to eat soup at the moment, so those we will save for next month once the weather (hopefully) cools down. The Spicy Seafood flavour will be for Chris, and Thomas has already claimed the Tonkotsu flavour (which is flavoured with pork bone broth).
Both Chris and Thomas enjoyed the Prawn Crackers. They are great as a snack, and would go really well with the soup cups. Thomas also claimed the tissues because he likes the menthol scent on them. They will come in handy the next time he has a cold.
The only miss we had in this box was the Plum Candy which were not to our taste. Although there was no seaweed or seafood/fish in the ingredient list, they smelled and tasted like what I imagine fermented seaweed and fish might taste like, and they were not for us! Everything else was amazing!
Over-all, my experience with Hong Kong Crate has been amazing. Shipping was fast, and the selection of items were varied, and appealing. A nice bonus was that the food packaging including English so there was very little guess work as to what we received (and would be eating)!
