The Versatile Light ‘n Go Bonfire Log

Light 'n Go Bonfire LogThe Light ‘n Go Bonfire Log can be used anywhere. Perfect for a cozy backyard fire, camping, fishing and even in the home. There are no chemicals which make the Light ‘n Go Bonfire Log perfect for cooking just about anything.

The Light ‘n Go Bonfire Log is made of white birch that has an embedded wick, which you light.. The log is dried in a kiln, can be lit easily with just a match and is designed for single use .

I have been waiting for what seems like an eternity to review my fire log. This summer was brutally hot and the never ending burn bans made it almost impossible for me to have a fire. The lack of rain had made everything so dry and dead and I was not going to be an irresponsible campfire burner let alone breaking a burn ban. That said, and even though I love my campfires, it was just way too hot to enjoy the flickering of the flames.

While waiting for our much needed rain, I had the fire log stored in my house on top of my wood stove. I thought what better place to display it and entice company to ask me what it was. I was not worried about bugs or any contaminants because the drying process that Eco Forest uses eliminates any pests or molds.

Rain, glorious rain! Once it hit mid September, just like that, the temperature dropped and we got rain! I will NEVER complain about it raining ever again! First a torrential rainstorm came (which knocked down trees) and then three glorious days of heavy steady rain. Thank goodness I started my review and burned the log yesterday because as I am writing this, it’s pouring rain! -lol-

The fire log was really easy to light. I was happy about this because it ususally takes me a bit to start a fire. My son and hubby always laugh at my attempts. I just took some of the paper, placed it in the hole and lit it with a match. The birch paper catches on fire right away and will help to ignite the paperboard which is made of cardboard and stearin. There will be some smoke initially when starting the fire log, but not to worry, it will quickly go away once the paperboard catches the log on fire.

I liked the star shaped cut out in the interior of the log. It made for a pretty flame and ensured that the log stayed lit as it was burning from the inside out.

Light 'n Go Bonfire Log-2

My son, who wanted to remain out of the photo, couldn’t wait to open up a package of hot dogs to roast. The design of the log made the flames concentrated for perfect cooking.

Light 'n Go Bonfire Log-3

Once he had his fill of hot dogs, he began toasting some marshmallows for dessert. I am glad that the Bonfire Log is 100% natural and contains no chemicals. We can safely cook over the Bonfire Log as we would over any locally sourced naturally cut wood.

Light 'n Go Bonfire Log-4

The Bonfire Log will burn for at least one and a half hours (which I did time) and it actually burned for longer. I was surprised and please actually because I had a preconceived notion that it would not burn as long as they claimed it would. After burning for quite some time, the log broke in half but both pieces remained burning and once all was said and done, there were nothing but ashes left.

Great for use indoors or out. We can take them camping, cook marshmallows or hot dogs on a stick, or even place a frying pan on the log and cook bacon and eggs. The  Light ‘n Go Bonfire Log would be perfect for fishing and cooking our daily catch.

If you are going to use the Bonfire Log outdoors it is important to know that while burning the fire log on a stone surface is okay, placing the Bonfire Log on concrete is not recommended.
