Love With Food
Snack Smart. Do Good.
May Deluxe Box Review
For every box sent, Love With Food donates a meal to a hungry child.
I have a little secret to share with you. I LOVE subscription boxes. Okay, I know! Not really a secret. The real secret is that deep down I want to be WOWED when I open up a new subscription box. Its a nice bonus if the outside of the box is awesome, such as the bright red Love With Food Boxes. Red is my favourite colour, after all. What I really want, however, is for the excitement to continue even after I open up the box. Love With Food WOWED me.
Love With Food is a really cool subscription box that sends you delicious snacks to your door each month. They donate a portion of the proceeds to help fight childhood hunger in the US and around the world. Memberships start as low as $7.99 (for US residents) and $16.50 for International customers.
The Deluxe Box and Gluten Free Box both ship to over 25 different countries. Currently, shipping is only $3.99 per box! All products ship for free within the USA.
Each month you will get the opportunity to test out some new and yummy snacks. Love With Food is a great way to experience products you might not have even known about before, and the snack sized portions are perfect for sampling! Your box will be full of delicious edibles and is guaranteed to NOT included any of the bad stuff.

Glutino Gluten Free Pretzel Twists
The pretzels were the first snack we opened (almost immediately). I was allowed to quickly take a couple of pictures and then Thomas ripped into the bag. These taste like pretzels. They are just the right amount of salty, and nice and crunchy. The only evidence that these are gluten free is the bag.
Bakery on Main Instant Oatmeal – Maple Multigrain Muffin Flavour
The oatmeal has a really nice texture to it, much finer than my usual instant oatmeal brand. It has a very nice fragrance, and tastes just like a multigrain muffin with butter. Although there is no dairy in the ingredients, I definitely taste a really pleasant buttery undertone to this oatmeal. It was very good, and made for a really nice breakfast.
Mandy’s Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins
My 9 year old claimed the Cookie Thins and wouldn’t share. One of the cookies was broken, so I snagged a little taste when I opened up the package for him. They are really good. A nice sweet cookie that tastes similar to the cookie part of an Oreo.
Enlightened Garlic & Onion Roasted Broad Beans
These were really interesting. I was a little worried about the onion flavour (I don’t like onions) but it wasn’t overwhelming. The garlic and onion seasonings work really well together and these tasted almost like peanuts. They are crunchy, and really addictive, and made for a nice little snack after dinner while watching TV.
Two packages of Dolcetto Petites Cookies & Cream Wafer Bites
These Cookies & Cream Wafer Bites were the second snack that we opened. Both my 9 and 19 year old sons each claimed a bag. They taste very similar to Oreo cookies, but lighter. The texture is really nice, and the cream filling is light and not at all overwhelming. The 100 calorie pack was the perfect size for snacking on.
Lance Gluten Free Peanut Butter Bite Size Sandwich Crackers
These are really addictive! The crackers have a nice salty and buttery taste, and the peanut butter is delicious. Each sandwich has the perfect amount of peanut butter. These were really tasty. Like the pretzels, the only way I could tell these were gluten free was because the package told me in big letters.
La Panzanella Croccantini Multigrain Crackers
The crackers were very lightly salted, and tasted light and crisp. I ate them on their own, but they would have been delicious with some spreadable cheese or hummus! Really tasty.
Two bags of Jackson’s Honest Chips: Sea Salt & Vinegar Potato Chips and Sweet Potato Chips
Hayden really liked the Sea Salt & Vinegar chips (his favourite flavour). They are lightly seasoned, so not too salty or too vinegary. For him, they were just another brand of delicious chips that he was allowed to have as a special bed-time snack over the weekend.
The Sweet Potato chips were very very lightly seasoned. I couldn’t discern any salt or flavour other than sweet potatoes. They tasted like a really delicious sweet potato french fry in a crispy chip. I love anything sweet potato so this was my favourite snack in the entire box!
Two samples of WowButter
The WowButter looks, smells and tastes like Peanut Butter. It spreads really easy, and even has the same texture as a creamy peanut butter. My son couldn’t tell the difference between this and peanut butter once on bread. It would be perfect for peanut-free schools.
Two MadeGood Chocolate Banana Granola Bars
The MadeGood granola bars were delicious with a strong chocolate flavour and a light soft banana flavour undertone. Thomas (who didn’t bother to read the package beyond the “chocolate banana” portion) had no clue there were vegetables in this. He ate both of them, but allowed me a small taste.
A box of Banza Chickpea Pasta Mac and Cheese – White Cheddar flavour
The chickpea pasta cooked a lot faster than regular wheat pasta, but the texture was similar to regular noodles. The noodle had a weird taste when I tried it before adding milk, margarine and the powdered cheese mix but once I added everything in it tasted like regular boxed white cheddar macaroni & cheese. My 9 year old really loved it. As I don’t buy boxed mac & cheese (and I haven’t for many years) this was a nice treat for him (and easy lunch for me). I liked how much protein there is per serving because of the chickpeas.
And last, but not least, a sample of Yummi Bears Sugar Free Complete Multi-Vitamin, with coupon.
Hayden LOVED the Yummi Bears Multi-Vitamins. He said they tasted just like regular candy gummy bears and he loved how “squishy” and soft they were. These vitamins he would take every day without issue, so I’m going to have to on a search to find them!
My favourite part of Love With Food Deluxe Box was the assortment of snacks. They included both salty and sweet snacks, something for lunch, and something for breakfast. I liked that their were familiar snacks (even if the brand was new to me) as well as snacks that were completely new to me (the roasted broad beans). My 9 year old claimed most of the snacks for himself, but in his generosity he allowed me a bite or two “for review purposes” (his words, not mine).
We enjoyed each and every snack included in this box with our favourite items being the chips and cookies (I know! BIG surprise that the kids liked the chips and cookies the most)!
If you want to check out Love With Food, you can get your first Deluxe Box for only $11.95 by signing up here. Pay only $11.95 US (plus $3.99 shipping if outside the US). That is a savings of 40%!
