#ThinkChristmas Much More than Work Wear #GiftMarks
Mark’s has always been one of our go to shopping destinations for everything from work wear, outdoor wear to sleepwear. Why? We love the vast selection of quality and durable products from a variety of brands that we love.
I have to admit that I have rarely shopped online. I like going into the physical location of brick and mortar stores. I like speaking with the sales persons as well as seeing and touching the merchandise. Yeah, I know I’m old school.
When I walk into a Mark’s location the first thing that I notice is the smell. I know right! How insane is that! I pick up on the scents of leather and denim. Call me crazy but I happen to like that aroma. The displays are always neat and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Truth be told, in the past, Mark’s was our go to place for all things work related. Whether it was work boots, or reflective safety jackets, we knew that Mark’s would have what we needed, especially for my son. Mark’s was the only place around that carried his size of work boot among other items. He was a size 13 when he was 17 years old! Needless to say, Mark’s garnered a lot of our business – happily.
Over the years, we have come to love Mark’s even more for the selection of not only work wear but sleepwear and so much more. With the fall that fell upon us and the winter rearing it’s ugly head, it was time to start thinking about boots, warm socks and comfy and cozy pajamas.
When I am able to, I love walking through the woods with my furbaby Tracker. Normally, I would just wear my running shoes because I didn’t have a good pair of hiking boots. Let me tell you, my feet became frozen on more than one occasion. So, it was time for me to get a pair of boots. I wanted a pair of boots that were not high cut, fit like a glove but most of all I wanted a pair that would be comfortable and keep my feet warm.
Women’s Tundra Mid-Cut Hiking Boots
I like these boots because they are mid-cut and do not rub up against or otherwise bother my ankle. The mesh inserts allow my feet to breathe so they do not get over heated and sweaty which in turn helps to keep my feet dry. Initially, the boots can feel a bit rigid but after a week or so of wear that feeling goes away. I was really pleased when I didn’t develop a blister as I normally do when I wear brand new footwear. These boots fit my feet like a glove so there is no movement and slipping at the back of my heel. They are really comfortable too!

Now that I have a pair of hiking boots, I thought I would get a pair of cozy cushy socks to help keep my feet warm. I have owned many pairs of T-Max Heat socks in the past and love them. They always have kept my feet warm on the coldest of days without making them sweaty which is why these are my go to socks when I go ice fishing.

2-Piece Flannel Pajama Set
I have always owned cotton flannel pajamas, ever since I was a little girl. I love the feel of the softness of the fabric against my skin and just the overall comfortable feeling I get when wearing them. They have always kept me warm and cozy on cold winter nights. I especially love having Christmas jammies. My eyes always lit up on Christmas morning to discover Santa had left a pair just for me. I would rush right into my bedroom to put my pajamas on and would remain in them all day. Mind you, when I was a little girl my cotton flannel jammies were more like a dress but since I have grown older I gravitate towards the two piece pajamas.
Wearing these pajamas brought back all those childhood memories. I guess it wouldn’t surprise you that as soon as I received them, I ran to my bedroom to put them on and actually have not taken them off since. Well, that’s not really true, I did wash them – but you know what I mean! LOL It was amazing to see that the color didn’t fade or bleed out. Which is a good thing since I washed them with some of the hubby’s’ clothes. He wouldn’t have been to impressed.
Personally, I love giving pajamas as gifts, especially around Christmas, whether they be Christmas themed or not. To me, it’s like I am giving the gift of a huge hug that will last well beyond December 25th.
