Rated E for Everyone 10+

minecraft story mode season two

Now that Jesse and the gang have vanquished the Wither Storm, saved the world, and become totally super famous heroes, life has gotten a bit more…complicated. With more responsibilities and less time for adventure, old friendships have started to fade — at least until Jesse’s hand gets stuck in a creepy gauntlet that belongs to an ancient underwater temple. Together with old pals and new comrades alike, Jesse embarks on a brand new journey filled with tough choices, good times, and at least one temperamental llama.

Includes access to all five episodes in this all-new series from the award-winning studio, Telltale Games.

My youngest 3 boys have been playing Minecraft for about five years now. If you do the math, that means that Hayden has been playing since he was about 2 (YES – since he was a toddler still in diapers). I blame Taylor – he is the one who introduced them to Minecraft. Taylor has been playing since the beginning. Minecraft began in 2009, and I bought him his first version in 2010 (in ALPHA). It was buggy, but he was hooked.

The boys love all that is Minecraft and we have a nice collection of books, toys, t-shirts,  and Diamond Swords strewn about the house. They normally play on their Samsung Galaxy Tabs, but Minecraft was the very first game we purchased for our XBox One, and we purchased Minecraft Story Mode Season One very shortly after it was released.

What is Minecraft Story Mode?

Basically, Minecraft Story Mode tells a story where you play as Jesse solving puzzles, fighting zombies (of course) and interacting with other characters as the story is told. Each episode is a self-contained story (chapter) of the series, and should take a couple of hours to complete.

All three of the boys loved Season One (and have completed it) so they were really excited for Season Two. The game itself is easy to understand, and even Hayden has no problems playing with very limited help. He is about half way done Season Two, Episode One, and just like the first season he is really enjoying the continuing story. His favourite part? The fighting of course.

Minecraft Story Mode Season 2 is available to purchase digitally now on Google PlayThe App Store, STEAM, The Playstation Store, and XBox One/Microsoft. The complete season (episodes 1 – 5) costs $24.99 – $27.99. You can also to purchase a Season Pass Disc for XBox 360, XBox One, and PS4 for $39.99 and Nintendo Switch for $49.99 at Best Buy, EB Games, and amazon.ca.

Minecraft Story Mode The Complete Adventure (Season One) is also available.
