RONA Inspiration DIY Craft and Gift Ideas
Merry Everything & Happy Always
It’s around Christmastime that I tend to get my craft on more so than any other holiday. I like making things to give family and friends plus I love to adorn my home with things that I have made myself. It gives me a sense of pleasure looking at them and knowing I Did That! Sometimes I can get stuck for ideas or simply don’t know how to go about making something in the easiest and most inexpensive way possible. Thanks to RONA, I was given the supplies to make the most easiest to put together cute little wreath! Check it out and all the other RONA Inspiration easy to do it yourself crafts.
My packet that I received from RONA contained everything that I needed to make a wreath. When I opened the package and took a look at the contents I was like “Is that it?” Must be!
The supplies needed to make my cute little wreath were: Ribbon (2 kinds), bendable wire and wire cutters.
Thankfully for me the supplies came along with an easy to follow instruction manual. Truth be told, I have tried to make wreaths in the past but they never ever turned out. Perhaps I was trying to be too perfect or too ornate. So I was so happy to see just how easy peasy lemon squeezy making this wreath would be.
The first step was to run the wire through the 2 tone ribbon. It took me a bit but was so easy to do. I just sewed the wire through the ribbon.
Here’s a little video for a closer look and get a better idea of how to do it.
Once I had all the ribbon threaded onto the wire, I formed the wire into a circle and spread the ribbon. Once I was satisfied with the overall look and size of my wreath, I crimped the wire and cut the ends off.
Now was the hard part. Taking the remaining ribbon (the red one) and making a bow. I can’t make a bow to save my life. No matter how simple the instructions are, I just can’t get it right. I did attempt making a bow and as you can see, it’s not perfect. I am happy that it actually resembles a bow though! Give me an A for effort LOL Once I was done the bow I ran a small piece of wire through the back and attached it to the wreath.
Voila! My wreath! Not too shabby – well for me anyhow 🙂
In my booklet that I received were some other easy to do diy ideas. I just might get inspired and try making these too!

I just might add some of my own flare to my wreath and add some Christmas balls or other ornaments to truly make it my own.
